Our Medcom puts it in when they launch us through Complete Flight, so when you check flight request on IPad it shows you all legs on map , and heading and distance for each leg Iam guessing you have just accepted a position in HEMS and are doing some homework. when you get to Indoc ask them to show you ... LOL |

Brain Fart on my end ....I was putting the N/W at the end instead of first. Funny how Fore flight changes them to the end of the line on input. Hopefully others can learn from this.
Thats neat how you get the coordinates from dispatch. We get them in a text and have to transfer. Everyplace does things little differently. I would love to combine the best practices from all companies nationwide for standardization. |

Good luck standardizing that !
Until dispatchers are prohibited from changing the format given in CAD (computer aided dispatch)
degrees minutes seconds or degrees 100ths of a minute or decimal or any other format they like better than standard. |

any tricks would be greatly appreciated |

My technique for remembering... N and E "Never Ever" need a minus, S and W do. No spaces. Separate the lat and long with a forward slash. Keep decimals, get rid of all DMS symbols. It's not the only way to input them but for our company it keeps it easy regardless if you get DMS, Decimal Degrees, or Decimal Minutes. |
