To the HAA folks out there, how many flights are needed to support your program? I once heard if you run a EC45 you need 2 flights a day, if you run a EC35 you need 1.5 flights a day and if you run a single engine aircraft you need 1 flight a day. Is this valid?

depends on reimbursement as well as flight volume. You can do a lot of flights and still lose money.

Yep that payer mix and loaded miles is huge. I know at one time there were bases making a killing at 14 flights and others losing money at 25....

on who is paying for what.  At hybrid bases where med crews and other expenses are paid by the hospital fewer flights are needed.
