To the HAA folks out there, how many flights are needed to support your program? I once heard if you run a EC45 you need 2 flights a day, if you run a EC35 you need 1.5 flights a day and if you run a single engine aircraft you need 1 flight a day. Is this valid? |

depends on reimbursement as well as flight volume. You can do a lot of flights and still lose money. |

Yep that payer mix and loaded miles is huge. I know at one time there were bases making a killing at 14 flights and others losing money at 25.... |

on who is paying for what. At hybrid bases where med crews and other expenses are paid by the hospital fewer flights are needed. |
