Been a DO and CP, but was recently asked by a company to manage their 407, and not as am employee.

It will be kept in my hangar, maintenance done by a Bell Service Center and I supply the pilots.

Forecasted to fly 150 hours a year.

What are folks charging for an arrangement like this............

I know I know, three fitty, anyone else......

Thanks

Wouldn't the FAA look at that as you being hired by that company as your own operator?   Questions of operational control come into play, as well as Part 135 (Part 119), since you'll be an outside the Part 91 realm provider.

Without going into the operational details, we are fully compliant with all the regs.

Try answering the question before showing how little you know about the regs?

Depending on what part of the country you are in and how much managing you will be asked to do vs what will be delegated to others plays a factor.  You didnt mention it but is this a 91 or 135 arrangement? How much are they paying you in hangar rent?  Need a few more details but if you are in a major city and part 135 and you factor in your experience and what you think your time is worth then 150K.  If 91, more casual, and more rural area then closer to 100-115k.  A lot of this comes down to you and what you think your time is worth, are you hurting for money or is it not a factor at this point in your career.  Also the pain in but factor, does this seem like its going to be a headache and put in alot of time and effort or will this be a smooth running operation that you just need to guide along the rails.  Its only 1 aircraft but I've seen guys who manage 3 aircraft well over 200k but are also run the entire operation part 91.

To you: $3000 monthly for management

Pilots: Charge $1000 per day ($750 to pilot/$250 to you)

Hangar: $500 monthly

Get a owner supplied credit card for you and one for the aircraft (fuel, etc)

Its mailbox money. Charge accordingly.

supplying pilots for a whopping 150 hours a year. doesn't seem much different than "managing" an R-22 or a 172 but oh yeah, 150 large a year sounds right. lol
