Instead of implementing a mx tracking system that is actuall worth a *hit, lets keep using the same garbage spreadsheet thats been in use since the 80's and just add 2 more blocks to check on the manifest. That'll solve about as many problems as a preflight safety vest... SMH |

Unfortunately some stick-wigglers need several alarms, whistles, highlights, and lots of other control measures to ensure they do not overfly inspections, services...maybe all that is needed is more education and training on how to preflight an engineering logbook? Their are over 2000 part 135 operators ranging from 1 aircraft to hundreds. Their logbooks are all fairly similar and contain the information required to determine the aircraftis status. Not all operators can afford the systems required to alert some wigglers as a stop gap. My bet is your company had to self-disclose a fellow wiggler's lack of attention and understanding of their aircraft's status and subsequent overflight requiring a "fix" to the FAA.

Upcoming mx is not listed in logbook. Metro system has no order to how the mx due is listed. Sometimes something to be done 3 months out is at top of list and something 5hrs out is buried on page 76. Not good. |

Except that's not how it's supposed to work. If that is how yours is done, then your Mx is doing it wrong. Read the GOM. It specifically says what needs to be on top, and it should go in decending order of due time with most pressing due on top. Yes, I work for Metro. |
