Considering getting my ATP. Aside from taking the written and brushing up on the IFR stuff, is there anything else to keep in mind? It's been a while since I was in flight school, I know a lot of the ATP stuff changed on the fixed wing side, but not sure about the rotorwing side. Currently planning to go to a flight school and get it done in a Robby.

I kind of regret not getting my ATP at the peak of my flight instructing 'career' in an R22 at early 2000's rates, but here I am.

Shoot away... thanks for any serious replies/ advice. And yes, I know I should go learn to fly airplanes.

Not much has changed.  You will need to know the aircraft systems pretty well so if you take a ride in an R22 it will be easier than in an EC135.

You will only be expected to know the aircraft if there is a type rating involved.   Other than that there will be no oral questions on the aircraft if you go by the practical test standards.  Orals on the aircraft are only if a type rating is involved other than that the oral will only consist of instrument procedures if the guy is following the practical test standards.  Way better to complete the ATP ride in a small aircraft under 12,500 pounds. Worry about the type rating later on a separate ride.

There's a document... Do a Google search for the "Instrument Know All" handout. There are a couple things on it that are different for helicopters, but it's a good product start with to brush up/warm up your knowledge. Also, I don't know your situation, but it's possible to do it concurrently with your company's initial or recurrent ride, give it some thought. You know (or should know) the aircraft fairly well, and it's no cost to you. Good luck, man.

Good advice if he can.  Got mine via Rocky Mountain Helicopter during a reccurent ride.  Had to do the written on my own but the check airman was also an FAA Examiner and was able to do the ride on the company dime.  Saved me a lot of $$$

If you look at the pts you realize youre not going to be asked any 61,91,135,121, weather, airspace, ifr knowledge etc. Its litterally just a checkride on your aircrafts FM.

The PTS outlines the ride. The poster who states you don't need to know the aircraft systems is wrong. Examiners are different but most that I have dealt with, especially if it is an FAA examiner, will expect a detailed knowledge of the aircraft systems, limitations, emergency procedures, and performance charts for the test aircraft.

There is no emphasis on the items covered on the written ATP test, other than airspace and airport operations. Of course a mjor part is instrument and flight operstions.
