Rotary To Airline Group, or RTAG, began as a campaign to address the national pilot shortage with both professional and experienced Rotary Wing Aviators. This movement has since evolved, now endeavoring to place Veterans in the Airline Industry, regardless of their experience.

What is RTAG you ask? Well it’s a couple of HAA pilots that post daily, sometimes hourly on a helicopter forum about the YUUUUUUG money pilots can make at the airlines. They seem to think that HAA owners and managers will get the idea that if an HAA pilot isn’t making $250K the second year we will all bolt to airline jobs.
Truth. Damn few will or can since it actually involves work like 8 hours in the seat and 4-5 days on the road.

The real smart guys never went helicopters to begin with. They went to one of the service academies. The most nauseating thing is a W2 with all the answers. Still doesn't have a degree, but oh boy look at those shoulder boards. Everyone at the airport bar is looking.

Met 1 worth his weight in lead. They may have been decent managers, but left everything to be desired when it came to leadership, and warrior skills. They were very skilled at advancing their own careers through political intrigue, backstabbing, upstaging, taking undue credit, brown nosing and all the underhanded arts. There may have been 1 in my career who was a leader that warriors could follow.
