I am seeing quite a few openings in LFN in the Pac NW.  I am just curious as to how their current pay is fairing when compared to AMC and GMR? In particular SPIFR with over 15 years SPIFR experience?

I am entertaining maybe moving across the country, but not for less pay for sure. Thanks in advance.

Some of the information on this thread is misleading. Pay raises come in the form of cost of living and annual step increase. As posted on thier web page the SPIFR Pay scale is $96-114 depending on your experience.

Thank you. I did not see any pay range. I didn't see a pay table on their website either. Is it available anywhere?

If $96k is the starting wage here that's only for SPIFR and no one is starting at $114k... Also, let's talk about the creative math they are doing when they claim to give out "almost 4 weeks of PTO". 150hrs is what you get, which at 12hrs per day(not 8hrs...) it's 12.5days of PTO. They don't do sick time. AMC does 5 days and can accrue 10 AND start at 14 days PTO.  1.68% step increase yearly and COLA if they feel like it. Otherwise nada. Yes, the cost of living is expensive here, but LFN doesn't compensate with Sperling data or whatever like AMC does. The retention rate is mediocre at best and they also won't pay a retention bonus like GMR, Survival Flight, Boston MedFlight, or AMC. Their excuse is that their starting pay makes up for it. New flash, it doesn't

That dog thing is so ridiculous. I do not work for LFN, but I get to bring my dog to work all the time with me. I've made sure it's cool with all the crew I work with and boom, done. They make it sound like it's some big benefit to working for them that no one else allows.

PHI is one of them. you may want to check your employee handbook. it probably says no mutts allowed.

Thank God LFN provides pet insurance. While I may not be able to afford to send my kids to college, and can only provide my family a mediocre lower-middle class life in the Pacific Northwest, I was able to save my beloved labradoodle, Buttercup.

Poor Buttercup got a prolapsed hemorrhoid that became severely infected. It was terrible, like something out of an Alien versus Predator movie. Anyways, it became septic and Buttercup was on the verge of death. But because of LFN's pet insurance benefit, I was able to get antibiotics and emergency surgery for him. Without such an amazing employee benefit, I would have had to take Buttercup into the woods adjacent to our 2 BD apartment and end it in an Old Yeller fashion.

Buttercup made a full recovery and I am truly blessed to work for this company. My wife is probably going to leave me for a plumber or a truck driver, and the kids will surely be disappointed again at Christmas, but Buttercup and I will continue to provide life saving services to the great state of Oregon.

I like it here.  I got hired about 2 years ago as a VFR float at just over $100K.  I would guess that has gone up.

$4-5/hr more for IFR.
