Capitalism can't rest until it has eliminated all possible human labor. 20 yrs from now helicopter pilots will be talked about like sailmakers are talked about now.

Left, but they are out there. What you really need is a totally obsolete product, that craftsmen used to make. Like a steam powered tractor boiler maker.

This looks like some pi$$ant little Sheriff's Office anyway. Maricopa county is AZ is one of the largest counties in the country. They plan (if not already happening) to have a small drone is every patrol vehicle to at least get searches started till air resources respond. 

For major departments, drones will never replace helicopters. It is just another tool at their disposal.

always been a huge waste of money. drones have been a new tool for news reporting but have yet to affect the use of helicopters.

When you purchase a helicopter and add so many add-ons that it can barely get off the ground, then add crews and maintenance, the dollar signs roll up quickly. When city leaders have to look for ways to trim their budgets, you can guess what is the first thing that gets their attention.

LEO helo pilots struggle with anything non cowboy flying and cant handle authority if it is not their own.
