This looks like some pi$$ant little Sheriff's Office anyway. Maricopa county is AZ is one of the largest counties in the country. They plan (if not already happening) to have a small drone is every patrol vehicle to at least get searches started till air resources respond. For major departments, drones will never replace helicopters. It is just another tool at their disposal. |

When you purchase a helicopter and add so many add-ons that it can barely get off the ground, then add crews and maintenance, the dollar signs roll up quickly. When city leaders have to look for ways to trim their budgets, you can guess what is the first thing that gets their attention. |
