What's the best from in service/MX and overall capability? A 429 with 7500 gross capability, 145 or 135?

I think you have a lot more to consider. Altitude being a HUGE factor in this... Distances you will be flying? Availability of fuel and alternates, specialty flights? (i.e. cabin space) We need more information.

The 429 is great until you realize that you can only go up to 7000 in the states unless you're in the government. Strong work wasting 500lbs Bell...

I wonder how many people bought a 429 not realizing what the gross weight is.

That's what happened.  Idiots in upper management believed the idiots at Bell who kept promising them they were getting approved for 7,500lbs in the very near future.  It's nearly useless in ems configuration.  Overpriced with old school tech and low weight carrying capabilities.

I guess your 429 guys are the ones that put down 7000lbs gross weight, but fly it at 7500lbs.

Yes, we all know that 429 guys are breaking the rules in the states.

Just a matter of time before the FAA comes a knocking.

to fly it over 7000.  It's pretty simple; just lower the collective a bit and you'll land with fuel.  Most pilots are operating this aircraft at 90 QT which is perfectly within limits but you don't get much more airspeed between say 80 and 90 QT.  Just fly it at around 80 QT and the burn rate is reduced dramatically. You're only going to miss out on 3 to 5 knots and extend your range enough to not have to fly it over gross.  I've been flying the 429 for 10 years and have never had a reason to fly over gross.  Just practice basic airmanship, play the winds, file if you need to get higher.  More altitude means better efficiency, cooler temps, less stress on dynamic components, higher true airspeed etc.
