I noticed all the pilots have ALPA lanyards. We could learn from their solidarity. They don't wait to be fed scraps. They get what's theirs.

OPEIU are getting quite a bit less than they expected. Maybe office workers don't know anything about representing helo pilots.

Airline pilots stick together regardless of which airline they work for. They would NEVER cross a picket line to poach another pilot's job. That is a career ending move. Helo operators know they can run off any pilot they want and another will be knocking on the door the next day to take that job for less pay. You don't have to unionize or strike to stick together. If one operator is low-balling pilots then put the word out and no one should apply or interview.

there is a million kids with a few hours and a lotta debt who will take any job, regardless of pay. good luck on that cooperation thing. keep dreaming.

a matter of solidarity.  Easily enforced when bases are 1-2% of the number typical helicopter operators staff.

There's an intellect difference too.
