Can someone tell me what AMC's benefits are for a new hire? How many days or hours of vacation? Holidays off? Number of sick hours or days per year?

you start out with zero on PTO and sick. Accumulate about 15 hour per month combined. I am single and pay $30 for medical per pay period but I can't remember if I got the cheapest or the middle one. Lots of options. If you have a family, maybe somebody else can fill you in in that.

will get you a raise right after a competitor raises the bar for the industry.

You work 7 on 7 off. No scheduled holidays unless its on your week off. Sometimes you can get a co-worker to swap or work OT to give you a holiday off. 5 days PTO year one. Depending on how your schedule is set up you may work Christmas 5 years in a row before getting Christmas off for 5 years.

I like this shift-calendar to forecast my schedule for years to come.

New guy at AMC here. You start out with zero hours but accumulate about 7 hours combined per pay period which comes out to 180 hours per year or a little over 15 days. The medical costs me $29 per pay period. I'm single. I think I took the middle deductable plan but can't remember. How good it is I don't know.

RE: Medical insurance. I pay $750 per month for a family of 4 which is the 'best' plan and includes an annual deductible of $600 per person then 80% coverage for in-network providers. Otherwise $20 co-pay for medical appointments, $40 for specialists.

$750 x 12 = $9000, 600 x 4 = $2400, co pays etc $600,

Total $12,000 / $35 per hour pay rate = 343 hours working to pay for medical.

That sucks.

anything better. Metro picks up 100% I'm told but they get it back in low pay.
