So with AMC closing chunks of bases yearly now. Has GMR been closing bases too? they keep telling us we will have another record transport this year. Is AMC that bad finically or trying to get ahead of something? |

AMC is all about the share holders. Only profitable bases are staying open. A base that has a lot of flights is not safe if the payer mix is bad.
GMR has a different philoposy, more about world domination, and is rock solid. |

GTFOH. They aren't nowhere near "rock solid." That rock is an iceburg and they are heading right towards it with the No Surprises Act on the air side. Might not affect the ground side- but it darn sure is affecting the air side. |

Watch. They will just take over that area. PHI won't. They barely are running themselves. |

What?
they don't have the aircraft or crews to just take over.
they will also have the same reimbursement challenges.
the days of charging what you want are over.
the right sizing is coming, the pilot and crew staffing shortage will be short lived |

This is some funny stuff right here..."different philoposy, more about world domination, and is rock solid". Keep telling yourself that, Charlie. The shareholders of KKR are watching American Securities closely. While unfortunate, the swift actions taken by Air Methods, in response to the reimbursement issues that the NSA has caused, will better position AMC for the "world domination" you speak of. |

Uh, it's a flat rate for AMC; for GMR it's a range +1/-0

AMC is not doing a "range" based on experience. It's just $86 starting. GMR is offering a range. Guy at my base quit AMC to go GMR and is starting at $88 since he had decent career experience but not a full year of HAA. I've heard of other guys starting at GMR at over $90K becasue they had a decent amount of HAA... AMC is NOT matching that.
GMR is way better starting pay (it actually has an experience range AND they then offer the same IFR, GEO mods, etc. just like AMC; oh, and they pay for your health care too - AMC doesn't do that) |
