Contract/part time flight. I have done two such jobs for a pretty large helicopter service organization. Won't mention the name but they have a main office in Texas and one in Pennsylvania. Fist time tool seven months to get paid. This time I am up to three and counting Is this normal? |

In PA the employer has 30 days to pay you, after that you may bring an action in court to recover unpaid wages.
TX is a little more tricky as it doesn't state number of days but you can still file an action. |

not a troll. Just a guy who did two jobs for a company and had to fight to get paid (still not paid for second one). I doubt this organization would wait this long for a customer to pay them. not mentioning the name to hold to the ROE. |

Completely pathetic. Had a company try to pull a fast one like that reference expenses so told them I'd be reporting all of it as an unreimbursed business expense on next years taxes - they read between the lines and I got paid in not many days. |

When I first started working for RMH in 2000 they used to pay you for workover shifts on the last paycheck of the following month. A couple of savy medical folks finally got fed up with trying to get them to do it right and made a complaint with the AZ Dept of Labor. Come to find out, AZ law was that you had to be paid for OT on the next check, or NLT 2 weeks from when the OT was worked. RMH sure was POed that someone had complained. THey were pretty sure who, but couldn't prove it. If they could have I'll bet the folkd would have been pestered until they left.
BTW, they also didn't count any additional duty pay, Lead Pilot, Safety Officer, Lead RN, etc. for the purposes of OT (and we weren't getting time and a half yet either). So, in some cases, mine as Lead Pilot for example, an OT shift was actually less than a regular shift. No granted, the LP pay was like $100 a month, so it wasn't acually a lot of $$, but right is still right, and that was wrong. |
