Got over Covid around 4 months ago. 42 / M. I started having some strange chest pains, thought nothing of it. As all us EMS pilots do from time to time, I was watching a movie and started to have strange fluttering in chest. FN hooked leads up. AFib. Went to ER. AFib, did some tests. Ran me thru Cardiac MRI, turns out scar tissue on heart. Have been steadily going downhill since, strange vision issues as well as neurological symptoms. Even stood up one day out of bed and went lights out. On leave now, and looks like careers over As of now, but it's not looking like I'll be able to keep a medical any longer. Not sure what this is from, either Covid, or the Vaccines, but I've been 100% healthy prior.

just a PSA, if anyone is having some strange symptoms, take them seriously.

As a first responder, it's presumptive that you got infected at work in most states.

I, too, have long haul covid after being infected at work and have been on workers comp. If you haven't yet filed, get an attorney for advice.

You file for workman's comp and are disabled and are getting a payout, but you still hold a medical, it will be permanent revoked by the FAA once you try and Go back to work. If covid caused symptoms bad enough to go on workman's comp, then you also have a disqualifying faa condition. Even the AME new guidance is saying if you come to them with Long Covid symptoms they can deny you now.

I was on workers comp for Covid (which I got at work) for several months and went back to work once I stopped using an inhaler. No problem. It's not disqualifying for my medical. And if I have any problems in the future, it will be covered. I also have disability coverage if I do lose my certification but don't forsee that happening at this point. Glad I was able to get the WC benefits.

Come due for your next medical, youll disclose you had long Covid, received WC benefits, and the AME will defer you to OKC where you will have pending a full battery cardiac panel as well as nurological battery, and lending results will be issued medical.

Senior AME for over 18 years.

My AME did not refer me to Oklahoma and issued my medical without any problem.

You need to re-read the comments. If you had long Covid, and you developed chronic symptoms.....and not a little baby inhaler, then you will be at the mercy of the AME. If I was your AME, I would defer you due to lying on your medexpress. under the conditions of "have you ever in your life" what did you mark? There isn't a slot for being an insufferable know it all.

I didn’t get jabbed. But I got Covid in Jan 2022. I can’t recall which variation was predominant at the time.
My symptoms were exhaustion, lack of smell or taste, dry cough and the runs. Most of it was gone in 4 days except the tiredness and muscle fatigue lasted about a month.
Lately I’ve noticed a little confusion, occasionally racing heart while at rest, memory, and occasional slightly blurred vision.
I had an extensive physical with my regular doctor in late Mary. No problems.

I never got vaxed, and came down with the crud earlier this month.  Work 7 and 7.  Everyone was dropping like flies toward the end of the hitch.  I had my first sick day on my first day off.  Low grade fever, chills, dry cough, then the crud in my throat.  Never any bowel issues but I did notice a diminished sense of smell when it was all over and not much taste during.  Not sure if I'll get it back.  I know it's diminished cuz normally when I would get to about day 3 no shower on days off I couldn't stand the under arm funk any more and had to clean up.  Now I'm on day 4 and I don't stink that bad.  Or do I?

Lol

Pretty sure they engineered that China virus to steal the last pleasures of humanity away.  So now you are like one of the cursed pirates from the black pearl, can't taste or smell the food you used to enjoy.

Barbosa---

For too long I've been parched of thirst unable to quench it, too long I've been starvin' to death and haven't died.  I feel nothing. Not the wind on my face, the spray of the sea, nor the warmth of a woman's flesh.

All Part of the population control agenda conspiracy, obviously.  Take away that last pleasure and many a desperate folk would rather just die than live an existance with no satisfaction from the last bit of pleasure they could enjoy...no taste no smell no flavor.   Like bland gruel in an English prison.

Some one shoot me

is quite the speculation.  No doubt we have to control consumption and waste handling light years better than we do.

Look at the population explosion in Nigeria.  Fertile females with an average of six kids???

Look at their population expansion and lack of any sensible waste and pollution handling.

I am truly sorry you younger guys have to go thru this.  We will probably never know the true story of  Covid but I do believe it was manufactured and for a reason.  If what we see happening is its intended purpose or if it just took on a life of its own I don't know.  I do know that there are elements (groups) in this world that want a sustained earth population of less that 1 billion people by 2050 and they are very well funded.  Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean their not out to get me !!!
