Any know how many more EC145e's are available before the supply from Airbus runs out? Last I heard in 2020 was they were almost sold out of the 25 Metro bought and were going to order more. |

Yes, the stripped down BK117 C2's Metro worked with Airbus to produce. They have got to be running out of parts to put these things together now the line is only producing D3's. |

If you want the space of a 145 and plan to use it VFR only and accept that it being a C2 you are going to have increase MX cost and the pain of vartoms issues than its good. They strip down a bunch of the airbus stuff to save 330lbs and put a Helisas autopilot in it as a replacement. If you have the slightest thought of being an IFR program do not even think about it, find a normal C2 if thats what you can afford with the standard autopilot and SPIFR configuration.
If you have more money, get in the H145 (Bk117 D2), might be some new ones floating around, at least you are dealing with fadec controlled engines and a bunch of other nice changes.
If you have even more money get the H145 BK117 D3) which is all thats coming off the assemble line now, has the 5th main rotor blade and you get an additional 330lbs of useful load and a much smoother ride from the new rotor head and lower mx costs vs a C2 or D2. |

the 145. Retired so I'll never have the pleasure of the D3 fixes, and 5 MR blades.
The 145 was the real vomit comet, even beat the A3. |

Depends on the state. I've seen nurse/nurse, medic/medic, and even the very rare doctor--comes with varous restrictions, too. Doctor from traditional programs that want to justify having their pretty matching flight suit by flying once a year. But mostly another seat is good for one of them in training. |
