I wish JH would create a Forum for HELICOPTER CREW PAY AND BENEFITS. And a Forum for Operational and Technical issues (Flying, performance, technical, safety, HELICOPTERS) etc.

Do you want to fly/maintain helicopters OR make a large salary???  I said OR..........

All I want is FAIR compensation.  At least making what a truck driver makes!!  Stop with the 1960's mentality "you are lucky to have a jo and get paid crap". It is 2022 and there is a reason there for the shortage of qualified pilots. The company is making obscene profits off our back, we need the pay.

I've seen this response numerous times in this forum.  What in your opinion is "fair compensation"?? I'm currently very happy with my HEMS position and currently salary (15 yrs experience, $120,000+). I know I may be the exception but would like to hear from others as well that if the company came to you today and said "What salary would make your happy?" what would your answer be???

Well my answer to that is, after the rescent pay increases at my company I'm now making $115,000 and I feel that's pretty fair for my years in HEMS and the amount of work I do. Would I like more... of course! Who wouldn't but I'd honestly say between $90,000 - $130,000 is pretty fair for what we do.
