Looking at a comparison..what is the GMR benefit package, insurance costs (for a family plan), do they give a credit if you don't take their insurance, insurance copay, 401K match, 401k investment choices, etc. |

I'm one of two pool pilots at my currently assigned base. One line pilot has accepted an offer from AEL, the other pool pilot has an interview, and the other line pilot has applied. |

Of PTO and Sick time combined. So all you get your first couple of years is 96hrs. Which is both used as either PTO or sick time. |

Have you tried reaching out to their HR Dept.? Their answers may differ from the Snarky ones typical of this forum's. |

Capitalist, am hoping my answer helped. Also, had a question for you. I am currently in the new-hire process for another company. Personally, I have noticed that the HR department there was willing to share their company's benefits guide, but were unwilling to share the costs of said benefits (costs/monthly premiums weren't listed in the guide) until Day One. Was wondering if you or anyone else on the thread experienced something similar. |

I am glad you asked the hard questions and looking past the attractive salaries and 401k plans. Asking for, at the very minimum, a "ballpark" estimate of your out of pockets is reasonable. Also look into their loss of license, vision, and dental insurance.
Some pilots fail to factor in some important non-salary related benefits such as the company's safety record, climate and culture, equipment, pilot turnover, career progression, business model, training quality, fatigue management program...how much are those worth to you?

a bottom-feeder company. Every benefit / expense should be outlined during the interview / job offer.
Any reasonable person is weighing out of pocket insurance / commuting costs against salary, 401k, PTO, expected annual raise, etc in order to negotiate an acceptable starting salary. |
