What would flying for the SO be worth the change to move and apply for a job? |

Kind of depends on where you move from and how much they pay. Do your homework. Some people consider Palm Beach county to be an expensive area to live in.
If you come from NYC, probably not.
If you come from Wichita, you may be surprised.

to know the empty weight of that 429 in that coniguration. With the 7,000lb GW, you wont go very far. |

They have more aircraft than most small countries air forces. 3 or 4 brand new 429's, a kingair and a caravan. And im not sure if that's all of them. Good people there and like most ALEO they pull from within. |

In my time flying LE in California you first had to be a regular cop before any other assignments, boats, SWAT, flying. Sometimes for many years. I retired several years ago and of course can’t speak for Palm Beach SO but being a cop these days wouldn’t be worth it. |

Generally sucks. A few hire non-sworn pilots but most you have to be an officer/deputy first and get in line. |
