By my calculations you pocketed $3,400 that you wouldn't have received with no bonus. You might even get some of the $1,600 back when you do your taxes. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. If it offends you to take the bonus because some taxes were taken out, please feel free to send it to me. |

First off End the FED! but does no one understand how taxes work? It doesn't matter if they tax your bonus at 50%. at the end of the year the taxes would be the same if it was a bonus or straight pay. Glad my AEL/GMr friends are getting paid! Good for you guys. |

I don't mind paying taxes to this great Nation, but I do mind how they carelessly spend it! One example is the several billions of COVID relief $ sent to the schools of Chicago, and now nobody knows where it went. |

Lump sum distributions are taxed at much higher rste than your regular pay. Did you guys really think that you were getting the full 5000. Uncle sam always gets their share. |
