but let's break down what is most seen.

1) complain, complain, complain, about pay, who got what, flight crews, etc....

2) job ads are posted every single day for every single base, so that's all any job seekers sees.

3) EMS use to be a respected seat, now, if you Have a pulse and whipped your book, you're hired.

4) Every post or about 8 out of 10 on this forum for the last 2 years has been about EMS. It's old.

since the EMS accident rate has gone down considerably per flight hour, it ovbviously doesn't take a ton of experience to do the job safely. btw, the EMS pilots of the 80's and 90's didn't actually have that many hours, either. as far as the general public goes, an EMS pilot gets quite a bit of respect, deserved or not.

the last 5 months

hiring minimums are lower and that the accident rate is much lower per flight hour than it used to be? It tells me you dont need as much experience as you think you need and that you were also doing it wrong.

working for small operators seasonally for little or no pay and barely any benefits....with EMS at least if you fly you fly and get paid.....if you don't you still get paid even if you sit on your azzzzz  all week for WX or Maint.

 if you look at how much you get paid per Collective hour in EMS it is a Good paying gig...whether you fly or not

Utility takes actual skill/talent, and a more mature attitude.

You must just be inexperienced in that field because most of us only work 4-5 months a year and clear $125K quite easily on salary as well as an added bonus of flight pay. It's quite nice.

Clearing 125k for 4-5 months in utility? Im assuming moving drills or HEC work? Blackhawks?

12/2 in the summer Months and then off for the winter? or 12/12 year round?
