theyre all waiting on the recession to kick in so they can say "you are lucky to have a job!" . it looks as though they have no intention of increasing compensation.

The real reason no one is making it harder on AMC or any other company is.... You do not want to move to better your position.

There are great companies out there, but you don't want to move.

You want to point your finger like a toddler and say.. "Look that kids has nice things and I want nice things"... Mommy get what I want! "Yelling"

But, not willing to do the work.

Aviation is a fluid field, and you need to move to make things better.

If you are not willing to move, you are part of the problem with pay.  If you vote with your feet, that will change companies, not asking a child like union to point fingers and say..... Look they are make more pay over there.... Look over there... They are making more money too...

is a career of movements whether being based at one city or operation or other.  You can move realizing it probably will happen again or commute like the smart ones who allow their families, especially children, to have a firm geographic home life.  Also a way to watch your real estate appreciate like crazy, especially if it is paid off.  Not saying inflation does not eat in to that - real estate is a good investment but you must hold it for a good period of time to really prosper with it.

I'm a Metro guy and I actually seem to think it's going alright. Management has acknowledged there is a problem, they have implemented some changes to the pay to help with said problem and they have recently given raises. Yes, since you might have been one of the unfortunate ones to get only a 1% raise or whatever you might feel cheated and you may even want to put management down and say it's p i s s poor. But, there are members of management that have shown time and time again that they are indeed on our side and pulling for us pilots. Soooo..... perception is in the eye of the beholder I suppose.
