Seeing the union point with the finger at other companies and yell...See they are getting paid more so we should to, is a tactic that a 10 year old uses.

The fact that the Union can't use facts to show the company what it's pilots due for the company, show just how bad the union is, let alone not professional.

The pilots of AMC going to just change companies or move onto something better.

The really reason people don't leave AMC or their base, they don't want their life upset so they are willing to work for low pay, bad managers, etc.  Because they don't want to move.  Pretty easy to figure out.

The truth of the matter is, military pilots put the industry down in pay years ago, and when civilian pilots started coming up, they worked for low pay because it was the norm.  The industry still runs on that very concept today.

This industry needs to go through some hard changes and become more professional just like our stuck wing brothers.

Local 109 negotiated the last contract during the peak of the last airline hiring spree. Plenty of unfilled GOM / utility / HAA jobs, so demand for helicopter pilots was high. And despite having a huge negotiating advantage, you losers approved a weak contract that caps starting salaries at $72k. PHI AMG, Metro, GMR and all the non-profits have been paying more than AMC for years.

AMC, it's pilots and it's union are all trash. You reap what you sow. If you think you deserve more, then go get a better job.

by shrugging off the #1 resource to get them there.....with pilots leaving and jumping ship....they will just hire more and more POOL Pilots to cover those area's till those bases are staffed...130 pool pilots they have now...but with how much info has gotten out on GMR some of those new hires are thinking twice...I know 2 NEW HIRE pilots in Calif all of a sudden couple days before New Hire Orientation just quit.....no reason...yep, company just shot themselves in the foot and set a tone that the company does not prioritze the pilots as part of the company...

the Negotiations has NOTHING to do in receiving that bonus as we have been getting others...It has been given to us already with other bonus's...it is a way for the company to show pilots who is in control of paying them...its pretty obvious...and zhittty....the CEO she should be ASHAMED OF HERSELF allowing her staff to do that....shameful.  Every single personal relationship she tried to earn in trust completely went out the window with Not only pilots, but other employees that saw what they did....

Just like the ex-military now airline pilots kept the pay down there?  The buisiness model of HEMS is the largest factor in pay being low.

The really reason is Army Warrant Officers.  After leaving the Vietnam era, and into the 90-00's most warrants did not have a degrees and did not have many options.  So expecting low pay was expected because they had no other skills other than flying.  Supply vs demand and companies like PHI and others back in the day took advantage of this for years.

IF the helicopter pilots back then would have done what airlines pilots have done, it would be hugely different.

The main one being professionalism, helicopter pilots stabbed in the back anyone to get ahead of the next guy, including working for lower pay.

Professional pilots= Airlines,

Laborer = Helicopter pilot.
