Maine medical center and Portsmouth regional are racing to get a medical helicotper first. So rumor has it. Who has the inside scoup? Hopefully Medtrans gets the contract$$$$ Also the wind farms are going to need pilots. The NE is about to have some new jobs to choose from. Better start paying your pilots AMC.

I'm unaware of any inside scoop, thought between the DHART and Lifeflight of Maine programs they were covered.  I'm too far south to be on the details though, we are lucky up here in the Northeast to not be over saturated with HAAs, everyone stays busy and fairly spread out.  The NEAA shares flights with each other and no one jumps calls like you hear of happening in other parts of the country, closest to us where that happens is NJ.

Never going to happen. LFM, DHART, and Boston Medflight have NE locked up. Both LFM and BMF have their own certificates and will never cave to the crappy management of one of the majors again. I wouldn't be surprised if DHART goes down the path of their own certificate soon. The first ever US wind turbine support contract went to HeliService Int a German company. There is no US company in position or with the machines and training available to support offshore wind. It will be 10 years before offshore wind matures enough for a US company to take the risk to go into that specialty. Not to mention all of the wind companies are asking for brand new helicopters not the crap we've got parked on the ramp waiting for a contract. All up just one of those  aircraft are going to cost over $20 million and you need at least two to support even the smallest field. Good luck with your pipe dream.
