Msg ID: 2735020 AMC Management CAN PAY INFLATION BONUS  +9/-0
Author:TO PILOTS but refuses to do so

Management decided to pay an inflation bonus to everyone but the pilots and seems to be blaming the union, but the bonus is not subject to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, therefore CAN BE PAID. Just as they are paying $250+ incentives per shift for workover, they are allowed to pay the bonuses. THIS IS ON AMC MANAGEMENT!

Legally, it's considered "minor" for the purposes of the CBA so the company cannot be sued, but must go through arbitration.

And yes, AMC management is acting in bad faith to screw over the pilots.

Because dues gets paid out to the union and they're getting very little for the price.

But, of course, if it is actually a "minor" matter, you can file a grievance and take it to the SBA.

if you think AMC should pay up as this is a minor issue, that is a grievance and is handled with the grievance procedure, still in effect since this CBA is in STATUS QUO.

File a grievance.

Offering you money outside the CBA is akin to bribery, which viloates the spirit of STATUS QUO

I'm curious in the CEOs weekly letter she puts out she tries to come across as a good person but by them doing this to the pilots any faith or trust the pilots have a management is completely out the door. I'm curious if she even addresses this but she probably won't. Management playing hardball because we're up for negotiation it's basically a tactic to show who controls our paychecks
