This is something that needs to be done "in person". It's such a huge departure from current practice and for some a very big change. Additionally, this gives everyone a chance to ask questions and interact. |

AMC will give us 3 percent 2 years from now. the only explanation is that they want you to leave. Make a smaller foot print. The ones that stay behind will be over worked and accidents will increase Before you know it we will look to SF for a safety culture. |

It will be interesting to see how the maintenance side responds to this. I understand all they got was the 3% annual increase. MTC along with the other GMR companies are short mechanics just like pilots. I can see a lot of highly compensated pilots working shifts with OOS aircraft. |

It's SOMETHING. I really would have preferred a more solid pay increase and improvements to our benefits package over the random bonuses and what amounts to an additional bonus that, while significant, you can't touch for 3 years. |

Your comment just proves the pilots will complain about anything. A 14 percent increase in pay and you don't have to do a single thing but show up to work 180 days a year.
no dues to be "represented" no nothing. Just do your job and you get paid for it. Heck, a guy who just got hired last month is now going to be making more than $85,000 a year as starting pay and yet there's complaints. |

My comment doesn't prove anything. It only represents my opinion which you are free to take or leave. It was actually an 11% raise. That additional 3% was already there as an annual step increase accounted for in our last pay plan. It IS a bit of a mild kick in the balls that new hires qualify for a 15K sign-on while the senior guys rate 5K, but it is what it is. I AM happy for my coworkers who will be staying. While I think the company could do better than a 40K bonus you have to wait for three years to collect, like I said... it is SOMETHING. Last of all, try not to take my opinion so personally. It wasn't meant as a personal insult to YOU. I just happen to think that a larger increase to pay is better for pilots than a series of bonuses. |

Who's offended? And what does any of this have to do with "left" or "woke"? I was under the impression we were discussing compensation and benefits here. |

Year. Not including workovers, training on your week off, and filling in for your relief when they take vacation.
Not to mention that if you are the only pilot at a base, you work 14 hour days until they find the next base pilot. Fact. |

I doubt they would have been able to make changes to benifits or at least it's easier to wait for open enrollment. They are likely looking at it now that it's July. We are 4 months away from open enrollment. My hope is to see a premium decrease...... |

Remember that bonuses are also taxed at a higher tax rate. You will be look at half the bonus in actual take home pay. |

That's the problem with these companies and peoples inability to know the history of how there companies operate. unions may suck, but at least they give you some dependability and guarantees with a contract. Not the first time these games have been played in the aviation world. Be prepared And don't say you weren't warned.
notice GMR didn't publish a new pay scale? Only a pay range for starting pay. Seems like that's what AMC did last time....apples don't fall from their tree. |

Don't listen to any of these whiners. The GMR pay increase is great and right on time. I appreciate their efforts to make us happier and fill the open positions. Much better than anything I was offered at Air Methods. |

I took the job with GMR last year mostly due to the offer being close to 10% higher than Metro. Now I am over 20% higher. Best decision ever. GMR is amazing! |

Whatever dudes. I never said it was a BAD deal. I just noted some things that could be improved or prioritized differently. I have nothing bad to say about my time here and wish nothing but the best for those who are staying. AEL was a GREAT place to land after active duty, and if things don't work out like I expect, it will likely be one of the first places I apply to come back to.
