EMS was more dangerous so I could be somebody but I guess somebody else didn't appreciate it. Sad!

"I kinda liked my post wishing  EMS was more dangerous so I could be somebody but I guess somebody else didn't appreciate it. Sad!"

Yeah, that is sad because EMS ain't rescue 911 or anything like that? You're just driving the bus/truck/helo to transport.

Not to worry, though- you can make the job as dangerous as you want until the med crew, the requesters start complaining. Or you kill somebody. You'll teach us something with that, I'm sure- the most expensive lessons come from fatals.

After Vietnam, I decided that all my flights were going to be boring as heck. I loved it when the pax went to sleep. I was, and I am still very disappointed that they wakeup before skids down. Someday....

Boring is good. That means not having to talk to the c/p,the d/o, the FAA,the NTSB,the police,or anybody else.

that you're old and wise....maybe you're not.

None of my mentors ever had to. And yours probably didn't, either. It was self-evident.

Some self-reflection may be in order. You're trying too hard.

Wonder why the labor force is so tight - that may be part of the answer, it was for me so I retired from flying.  Better things to do.  Just find 'em and don't look back.
