Get a LinkedIn profile set up then click on the "Open to Work" button where all hiring managers can see you (you can still stay private to the masses if you don't want to connect with the world), When they see who all are really looking for other work they may take things seriously. You'd be surprised at the amount of jobs that want former aviators on LinkedIn. You may not fit 10-15% of the description/experience they're looking for but you'd be surprised. It's WAY easier to vote with your feet and find something with better pay and/or schedule than you probably think!

When they see who all are really looking for other work they may take things seriously. They will seriously put your name on that list when there is a reduction in force planning session. If you don't like where you are, just leave. You are not so important that your spot can't be filled. It was open when you took the job. No need to make a production out of it.

1. You can't find a better job. 2. They can't find a cheaper prospect. If you can find a better job, go. When the market turns, and cheaper prospects abound, you will not get the same level of loyalty. |

hanging it out by doing that but I get the sentiment. My son who is a VP with a large engineering firm says he labor market is the tightest he has seen it in over thirty years; says almost all companies are working at 90% capacity or higher due to labor shortages. Moral of the story the OP mentions you might be surprised about similar parallel skill jobs you may fit quite comfortably within and from what I hear that is very plausible. Good luck. |

that potential workers don't exist but that during the pandemic a lot of them learned how to live and enjoy life with a whole lot less and are not interested in corporate America any more. |
