Is there anyone like me who is a cheap ass, and instead of sending your helmet in for a brand new visor $$,  found an effective way to "buff out" scratches on your visors, or possibly fill the scratches in with something genius or anything else in lieu of forking out for new visors?

Take care of your stuff and do get them in the first place

Alternatively, because we can't have nice things, Novus 3 step plastic polish has worked well for relatively minor scratches.

might not recognize what changing even slightly the curvature of the visor can do to interfering with an excellent view through it.

I just got a new visor for exactly that reason but do what ur comfortable with.

Optical shield, you can either fill it, or remove material around it. In either case, you run the risk of distortion of images that you see through it.
