A few years ago one of the new bosses at MTC with airline experience, was going to gain part 121 jump seat rides for the company.
How did that pipe dream work out ? |

Jumpseat privileges are generally part of a reciprocal agreement between carriers. I highly doubt Med Trans or any other HAA op would be able to coordinate that; as there is nothing to offer a 121 carrier in return.
Now what WOULD be cool is if a HEMS company could get KCM privileges for it's pilots who commute. Note that i don't see that ever happening either.

Exactly, previous 135 charter/tour company I was at had an agreement with JetBlue. They could take a tour anytime they wanted or ride the dead head leg from our base into the city and back. We could jumpseat with them, however we were not Cass certified so we were in the passenger compartment on standby. It was a great arrangement that we used a lot. |

I flew to Europe alone in the old days with jump privileges with ERA aviation. Great benefit. I Hines 911 put a stop to it. |

Just show the gate agent your company ID and tell her you identify as a part 121 pilot. |

I'm sure there are places it works, like; NAC in AK. But for a mere mortal "outside" I don't see it working. |

Bristow did have jumpseat privliges and was part of the CASS system before the merge with ERA. It was part of a the union contract. Many pilots used it to commute to and from work. Bristow at the time had an airlines over in Europe.
As far as trying to fake being part of the CASS system it is computerized and they know right away that you are not in the system So I suggest you don't try that. |

Evergreen used to provide jumpseat privileges on the 747s--problem was they usually went where noone wanted to go. |
