LOL! you must be talking about another PHI, tiny raise (2.6 %). Now we're only 14% behind. But we can throw big sign on bonuses to new hires while SH*TTING on the employees keeping the place afloat. PHI has become the worst.

At least the union saved vacation, sick, 401k, gives base protection, no forced workover, overtime for training and travel, schedule protections, and the list goes on....ALL things that other NON-union companies dont have.

Dont be mad you got fired and the union coudlnt save you from yourself.

And, who was fired?

As far as the other nonsense ---

Lost going on actual vacation when CBA automatic payout kicked in and took it.

Schedule Protections?  --> As far as I remember, company blew that to peaces (mandating schedule types, start/stop days, hours, etc).

401k ?  ->  regulated by law, not unions!

Base protections?  --> WTH? Seriously?

Overtime for training and travel?  -->  IOWs, getting paid for working?  California pilot took care of that himself, who needed a union?

Saved Sick Time??  -->  Huh?  You just throwing in things to make it sound good?

Non-Union companies have that, some are even better.

So, this begs the question:   If it is so good at the union, why are you crying you need a new contract?

Yoh obviously have ZERO clue of what you are talking about and the benefits the union brings and has protected solely because of this contract. If you think otherwise ask yourself why are medical crews and check airmen organizing with OPEIU as well as two other major carriers? Guess you know more...

none of those things you mention have been a problem at any non-union company I've ever worked at over the years.  And don't try the crap that "union companies set the standards for the rest of the industry".  It's plain old good business decisions to keep employees. Of course, in a union shop, the employer can't ask employees about what would help keep them happy and the employees can't talk to the company either.  You know EXACTLY what I mean.

Of course, it's not true.  The RLA allows you to negotiate a CBA, and it is the CBA that restricts a company to compensation rules.   So, if the current CBA allows for it, which it apparently does, then you can't whine and complain since you ratified the CBA to allow for it.

3.2% increase and 1 step increase in pay ( is about $1200/yr in step).  They also didn't give raises for almost 2 years even though there is CBA specifically states one step increase a year. They've been dancing around that for year saying the company has the right per financial reasons to give it or not. Also they cut their 401(k) in half to 3% matching unless they meet their yearly goal and then they match the other 3% so they make the employee work harder to make that financial goal for the company in order to give some thing that was offered to him unemployment
