Envoy and PSA have upped their pay significantly. The starting pay is comparable or better pay than most RW jobs start their pilots at. So those still on the fence cause the starting pay was terrible, there isn't a better time to jump.

Well this is well worn, negotiations come around and Shazam…. A bunch of posts about money at the airlines’ I guess assuming HEMS leaders read this craeeep. Bounce if you want a life of 5:00am departures, 150 passengers that aren’t hurt or asleep, actually flying to FAA maximum every quarter and a crew that likes even less. OOOOORRR, sleep half your shift, watch TV, wash your car, geek the internet, browse Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, grinder or whatever for a little less money |

Time to do any of that. You will be lucky to keep up on all required computer based training. The upside to that is, they probably won't close your base so you can be "home every night". The bases with low call and flight volume do afford a lot of time to do everything on your online bucket list. But realistically, you won't be doing that for long, and you won't get to be home every night, which is the holy grail of the EMS pilot. Not from that base at any rate. |
