So, flying thousands of hours with body armor, all the junk and tons of ammo strapped to your chest and don't forget helos that are out of track and balance have zero to account for it? Any orthopedic dr will tell you that sitting alone is bad for your back not to mention flying helicopters that bounce up and down. I'm just saying I have seen tons of fit guys with messed up backs from flying. |

I worked with a pilot that had horrible back issues. If he few more than 4 hours a day, he was crippled for the rest of the day. Spent hours tracking aircraft that others said flew just fine. I liked the guy and felt sorry for his condition as he was too young to retire and scared surgery would end his career.
