Had the MSA Gallet for 12 years, best helmet I ever had, light, comfortable good vis and good hearing protection. Company provided me with a new helmet so I sold the old one for $800. Never tried the EVO but we have six sitting on the office shelf that nobody will use as they say they are junk. YMMV.

I think the EVO is the second design. Several in my company use the Gallet. I bought the EVO 250 with dual visor.
In the power line trade the weather and the door frame on 500’s beat up a helmet. I’ve had rain water soak a mic as well as cold freeze my breath on the mic boot. I’m happy with the EVO. 5 years no problems except visors I’ve scratched and got replacements within a few days of ordering.

Really it’s whatever you prefer. I don’t see much difference side by side.

I've used a Gallet and EVO my entire "helmet" career.  I can't use Gentex, they are solid junk.  Both my Gallet and EVO have been great.  My EVO fits better because of the liner I had originally put in it.  I've liked my EVO much more because of the ANR (a must) and the bluetooth (music and phone calls) .  I can't tell a difference in helmet shell quality or weight etc.  Any route you go, it still hurts $$ Yell
