So here is the skinny, AMC with the Local 109 will lead the way for most pay in the HAA industry.  Problem with being the 800lbs gorilla.

Metro, Med Trans, PHI, all you guys should take an interest in whats going on because it could help you to get better pat as well.

Some Bad News, AMC is hiring pilots of the street and paying them way more than senior pilots within the company.  The only way you get higher pay, is to quit and come back within a year, truth.

One huge problem with AMC, 1000 pilots and only a few on the HAA pilots website trying to make things better.  Military pilots don't care about the contract as much due to extra money, healthcare etc, which makes this harder for everyone.  Wait and read on... Civilian pilots need to know what there worth and hold out for more as well because, we don't have those benefits.  Remember this is not a retirement job anymore, it is a career.

If this industry is going to go forward and not backwards, there needs to be a professional consensus on what pilots should be paid vs years of service and overall years of experience.

Airlines- 1 year - 66,00  2 years- 80,000 3 years 100K and not even a commander yet.

Helicopters 15- 20 years and your at 80-100K maybe.

Now I know military guys don't like to hear that because the years of low pay are due to you accepting that low pay because you have had those benefits and robbie tards working for free also hurt the industry.

The only answer is to stop on both ends.  Does a collective on a Blackhawk/Apache do something different that R22 or 206 or 407 or MD or any other aircraft. NO

Pay to fixed wing. Regionals don't pay nearly what the majors do. Also, revenue paying clients need to be factored. 

Not even close. They are one of the lower paying companies.

I think you are very generous with the airline pay schedule.  I doesn't quite happen that quick.  You might come close if you bid a good line with tons of flying and spent every reserve day sitting by the phone waiting to be called out.  Also captain is along ways away unless you are a highly experienced commuter (turbine) type or heavy multi military type.

I do think you are better off going to the airlines in the long run if you can stand it but don't get stars in your eyes it will take longer and more work than you think especially if you are all helicopter time.  Regardless of the recruitment adds. 

Pilots were saying the same back in the day.  It's all the military guys fault.
