Not having to pay rent has to put one state at the top of the list. California extends rent moratorium 18 months at a time, and is targeting an extension to 2025, or 2026. |

But real estate prices are skyrocketing in both due to the influx of people fleeing blue states. No state income tax. Not as much utility work in Florida if that's your bag though. Plenty of EMS and ENG work if that's your thing. Corporate is mostly in Miami. Not as much in Orlando or Tampa for some reason. Florida, no winter though if you enjoy snow or fall leave change. If it were me, I'd choose Florida, or Montana if I could find a sweet gig there. |
