Back in the 80's my Mom and Dad worked double shifts and weekend jobs to make sure my college room, board and tuition was payed for. I was the first in my family to graduate college, and with a BS in Aerospace Engineering. I also worked part-time jobs and washed aircraft at my local airport in exchange for PPL flight time training. What is going on these days? A loan is a loan regardless if its a mortgage, car, boat...and you are responsible to pay it back! |

Swap years of life for military flight school service obligation or spend years of your life paying a student loan. You'll eat more regularly in the service but the school slots are very, very competitive. I've civilians who were dumber'en dirt. When I asked flight check guy why he passed the guy he said a coomercial ticket isn't that much different than a PPL. That's a point- my PPL cadidates could have flown the CPL flight check successfully. |

I used my student loan money to buy a race car, a house and blew a wad on spring break. Let's go Brandon. Loan forgiveness would be fair, if everyone got the same forgiveness. The worst part about all this forgiveness, is schools teaching marxism / socialism, that capitalism is bad and helicopter unions are good. |
