AMC...never happen. They will try and keep from raising pay, lose people. It's not an A list team at the top. No Harvard, Stanford MBA types; more like Florida State, U of Arizona, Brigham Young...B or C list team.

But that's the only downside. A listers are cut throat. B & C are more like normal people, just not as smart. I'll take the B team anytime.

It's WAY cheaper to offer OT or the "$250/shift" incentive than pay EVERY jamoke more.

Only have to close a handful of bases if they think not making the OT/incentive budget for the year is a possibility.

The bonuses they're giving managers alone could increase medic, mechanic, and pilot pay but they won't do it.  They know you won't walk.

TONS of bonus money for managers incentivizes you busting your butt to take flights, push 14 hrs, do "whatever it takes" to minimize delays or OOS time.  Money you'll never see despite YOU doing the hard work.

They'll be quick to say "but you get paid to sit around all day" or "you get 7 days off every other week" so shut the eff up.

to be honest the starting pay is a JOKE and waaaay below what other companies start you off at...we as pilots want to get paid for our experience...if you come to the company with 5-10yrs proven EMS/SPIFR experience you should be paid a higher rate whether you have been with the company or not..So i don't have 5-10yrs with AMC, i have it in the industry........this is STOPPED by the CBA...there honestly needs to be a $10,000-$12,000 raise across the board for ALL pilots regardless of experience to bring current pay to what other companies are paying...and then 5% a year raise after that...thats not asking a lot considering what they have been paying out in OT stipend and OT pay itself...drop in the bucket....

fill out the survey

Why is "negotiations" already presumed? Once you enter negotiations, there is a end, like it or not. To get something, you usually have to give up something. Union [the organization] can profit from pay increases, but not benefit/workrules increases. And, union usually bargains for itself (including its officers) before they bargain for its members!

Otherwise, the comapny can pay some folks more than others, on a good old boy system.   New hires, for instance; special program pilots (like a particular HBA program paying 'their' pilots more).

Union's are about ensuring everyone is treated equally, not especially!
