Civil flying is NOT military flying, and, the Company and FAA WILL hold you accountable.  

Investigate the "get out of jail free cards, like NASA reports, etc.".

Embrace your present and future.  Do NOT live in the past, you'll come to regret it if you try to change things to your liking.

Should be a good retirement job.  I volunteered for very little, kept it simple, did a good job when on duty, and it all came to an end with retirement at 72.  The company nowadays tend to watch the older guys a bit closer as to flying standards etc.  Don't let your guard down over 60ish.  Not age discrimination, just being careful, which is reasonable.

Really enjoyed the 7ish days off.

Most of indoc was sitting around while someone was getting an IT issue resolved. ThT being said, it isn't stressful at all. they feed you lunch, plenty  of food within walking distance. When you move to the simulator. The Taco place is great.

Little cramped but the thing would move right along.

some stories can be moved to the generic side, leaving out the mil details, or if talking with mil guys fire away.

I never minded anyone's talking about anything, kind of a compliment they feeling good to talk, until I got tired of it, then I somehow shifted subjects, no problems.
