At what point do you believe your maintenance individuals have worked beyond a safe number of hours? 15, 20? I had a mech that was working for over 20 hours yesterday. The guy was really getting things done, but I know you can't run a guy all the time like that, it's not safe or healthy. |

Especially when they are distracted in any way. Phone calls ( when is the a/c gonna be ready etc ) It is dangerous to have a wrench work that long. But they have their pride too. |

on site. Use the rules pilots at the most. Maintenance can be a very very tiring activity. |

Didn't mean that 14 each day. What maintenance people should do is point to state and Federal labor laws, plus, ramp up how overwork and subsequent mistakes are a liability the company cannot reasonably escape.
Could be a continuation subject for alphabets like HAI. |

Wrench bender here. 8hrs of nonstop troubleshooting and I'm done. 12hrs of easy stuff I've done 100 times and its not 90 degrees out? I'm going home tired but I feel pretty comfortable everything will be done correctly. Working 20hrs is just insane. No amount of pride offsets sleep deprivation. |

doing 20 hours puts you in sleep deprivation and can put a MAINT tech at risk of liability suits if some part of the work leads to harm. Companies do not have the right to push employees beyond reasonable limits. |
