If everyone has 1 year in HAA, is that enough? What if only the pilots have 5-10 years but the med crew only have 1-2 each? What is the breakdown of what's safe vs what's not? |

that you need a average of 2000-2500hrs to get hired onto any EMS company, I would say that if you can't jump in a seat and do it with that time, then don't.....Just think you need 1000-1500hrs to fly Off shore....over water with limited opportunity to do anything if you have a failure...id be worried about that

Not to worry. The volumes of Federal/operator policies and procedures, and the rubber stamped CAMTS sticker on your aircraft are all you need to stay safe. This is a much larger issue in HAA than any one operator will admit to. Unfortunately, for it to be admitted to, and eventually rectified, will require accidents and worse. |

1. 3000 hours minimum 2. Strong IFR skills because the whole company, AMC, was single pilot IFR. Yes, we've been here before. 3. A 4 year degree 4. No smoking 5. Had to show up in a suit. 6. Actually had to show some respect. 7. Nobody had "EMS skills". They were pilots and never got there time in a traffic pattern.
