liberally to make the point they need to ditch the chatter. Works all the time, just make sure you know how they are going to indicate they really need to talk to you, which is usually a tone in the headset from a button they activate. |

Can help a lot in a bind. If they already have an idea of the wind, the aircraft direction, and their relationship to an emergency landing area, they can scan for a suitable landing area and apprise you without delay. |

Are you a single pilot PIC? C'mon man you need a nurse (passenger) who is not rated in anyway aircraft'wise to tell you how to land? After you land PIC do you provide medical advice for the care of the patient? This whole industry is somewhat messed up and part of the reason for it is things like "3 to say go, one to say no" BS. Have you ever been on an airline and looked out window and said hey I don't want to fly in this weather so we should turn this 747 around? |
