Years ago it was 500 hours offshore and be willing to start over in a jetranger. Pay your dues and move up. Now it seems to be network yourself in position to skip tradition. Is a type rating required to get an interview? What are they looking for in hiring new pilots now? It isn't what it was 10 years ago.

I know you're lying about the grass. Cooking on the weekend, yeah with provided food. Other GoM operators cook and provide all your food?

Considering the fleet makeup and number of small ship jobs, if you don't have a type rating in the 139 or 92 you can probably forget it. Too many people apply that already have a month long 80K course out of the way.
