For real, run for the hills boys!!!
The table says it all... IT WILL TAKE YOU 32, YES, THIRTY TWO YEARS TO MAKE IT TO $100K!!!
That's ridiculous for this career-field. Don't accept it. Vote with you feet!!!!
The airlines are not the end-all-be-all but you'll get some great experience out of it and if you don't like it the helicopter world will DEFINITELY be hiring still. There are a number of other FW gigs out there that pay way more if you don't like the airlines.
For real, now's the time. 2-5 years to $100K instead of 30+ (and EVERY SINGLE HAA company has the same pay scale +/- 1-2K).
30+ YEARS... |

That pay scale sucks donkey 🥜! Heck even a regional airline captain makes that top pay on the MTC scale after 5 years. Not 33! Besides who is dumb enough to work for 33 years there ? |

Suppose I enjoy that job and location more than I want more money elsewhere? I understand your point- my time and skills are what I have to offer the market in return for compensation. "Compensation' isn't just money or nobody would be military. |

Reason so many people go military is to get experience they might otherwise have to pay for, or would not get otherwise. |

Look, it's not complicated here boys and girlds. AMC is a union shop. Every few years they set a new pay scale and benefits. The other companies will then adjust, and will come within a couple thousand dollars, either over or under. It doesnt really matter because no one is going to move across the country for a couple of thousand dollars a year.
If the other companies were so great, they would be paying way better then the AMC contract. But they don't. Another reason no one else needs to go union, because again, everything is set to AMC, duh.
That being said, buy biggest regret was not going in the airlines when I was young. You'll say, "it's so boring", but wait until you sit around in EMS for 30 years. Believe me, it's boring.

A union has its purpose. Once it's purpose is done, it does little but suck the life out of the worker, the company and the economy. I guarantee you that if AMC weren't union, we'd still have pay scales where they are now. The fact that union bots wont admit that only proves there is little understanding of economic/business issues within the union ranks. |

Luckily, when times were great for HAA, the previous leaders locked in some good protections to the CBA. They'll be slowly given back to the company over time though |

These poor flight attendants and the many others should have hired you to advise them, eh?
https://www.paddleyourownkanoo.com/2020/03/01/this-is-why-united-express-flight-attendants-cant-go-on-strike-despite-authorising-a-walkout-nearly-18-months-a-go/
"Flight attendants represented by the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA-CWA) voted to authorize a strike back in 2018 but under restrictions within the Railway Labor Act, they must first get permission from the NMB to stage a walkout. Despite the failure of federal mediators to find a deal, the NMB has so far refused to progress the negotiation process."
"Legally, however, Air Wisconsin flight attendants can’t go on strike until the NMB allows them to enter a 30-day cooling-off period and the board seems incredibly reluctant to let that happen." |
