Get lost. They only sometimes are momentarily disoriented. |

(Crash-hawks) led our aircraft INTO the Impact Zone (artillery) when the range was Hot at Grafenwöhr, Germany. Those guys bragged how high speed they were during the air mission brief and couldn't even navagate over the tanks trails that went around the impact zone. |

The OC's cancelled the remainder of the day. Blackhawk pilots were eaten alive at the debrief since they were close to really being blown outta the sky if it weren't for the lower enlisted safety guys in the range towers. Lead hawk flat out stupid lost and he was a former 160th tûrd. Chalk 2 didn't have their map out, chalk 3 was navigating backwards on the map, chalks 3 & 4 discussed about their other duties and not part of any navigation. Chalks 1,2 and 3 lost their PIC orders at the debrieb... priceless! Yes, Big Windy saved the day by not going into the impact zone and going into the zone after it was cold to rescue all the pilots and crew members because they were shot down (simulated). Their company commander was ordered at the debrief to personally thank me and my crew for getting his dead and wounded out... LOL 😂 stupid hawk drivers |

Flight of 9, 8 hawks leading a chinook when the 47 broke radio silence to save the entire flight because the lead hawk couldn't navigate and all the hawks had thier anti collision lights on, a big no no when entering the BOX and briefed as such. The 47 with a sling load took over lead of the formation and the hawks followed now that is priceles. 2 hawks were shot down by the OC cause they entered the box with their lights on. Damn good 47 pilots. |

There are almost 3 Blackhawks for every 1 of any other type of Army aircraft... the stats alone mean you get the most average to below average in their ranks. |
