Have the benefit of social promotion, affirmative action, set asides, quotas. In the mafia they would call those jobs "no work". |

Anytime the Government is involved, someone will have to suffer for someone else's benefit. Respect, equality and hard work are no longer part of our culture. |

They got there as a token, and not out of skill, experience, and merit, the work(such as it is) they do is sub standard, or even counterproductive. But they get paid full wage, while someone else has to carry their load, or clean up after them. I am not at all talking about the ones who hold the own against any man. Those I have all the respect for. A lot of the posers will turn on the tears , use womanly charms, or threaten accusations of harassment to cover for poor performance. Anyone defending that is not making any situation better for anyone involved. |

Don't care what sex, color, or religion you are associated with as long as you are qualified and sane. During a recent set of job interviews for an opening, the person who handled the aircraft the best of four candidates just happened to be female. As it is, she would have been a welcome sight compared to one we have on the payroll now going through the training. |

Not from that article, anyway.
Whirly Girls is a private organization entitled to provide training scholarships to whoever they want to. It's their money, not mine. Or yours.
Keep the gov't and tax money out of it and I'm good. |

Best line from Elan's dumb article: "None of the women I spoke with felt that they had been significantly disadvantaged in their careers because of their gender."
OF course not. Normal men who run companies WANT women employees...welcome them with open arms! What are we, homos? Here's the truth: 1) The only limitations placed on women are by women themselves. They are their own worst enemy. 2) The reason there are few women in aviation is because women (wisely) choose to not be in aviation. It can be a crappy career. We men put up with it because we're stupid. Women are generally smarter and they look at the work we do and the environment we do it in and the pay we get for it and go, "You can have that BS! Not me, bruh." |

homo. Yes, most men like to hire women because they think they might get a chance to bang them. As always, spot on analysis. |

Not to disparage anyone. I only got to fly with 1 female pilot. Based on that and what I have been told by associates, female pilots IMHO are smoother on the controls, don't do much yank and bank and have more respect for the helicopter mechanically. My only concern was in the event of a hydraulics failure in some of the machines I flew, a woman would not have the physical strength to handle it in a single pilot configuration. I think this is evidenced in a couple of Astar accidents. I guess that could be said for some men also. |

Flown with very weak female pilots, and some were unsafe. Overall the ratio was worse in my experience for female pilots to be competent and safe, compared to male pilots. |
