It sounds like your customer (the hospital) is pushing the issue, not Metro. You may want to see if the hospital will work with you and consider you an OFFSITE worker. Do your daily briefings over the phone (pre and post flight briefs.) Mask up around the crew as a reasonable accommodation and offer to take a Covid test before your week on shift, if that makes them more comfortable. I know some of the hospitals Metro works with have come up with these types of "reasonable accommodations" to keep their pilots and mechanics from leaving due to the mandate. If you're actually housed on duty in the hospital and not based in housing away from the hospital, it may be more challenging to work with them.

Interview.  You either get it or no interview because we will be mandating it per customer which we all have as a company. Told ya 

I'm pretty sure this isn't Metro. I have felt very supported by Metro so far. They have put out numerous memos and emails saying they do not support mandates, however if the hospitals (Customer) requires it then their hands are tied. As the person above said, see if you can get an exception. We have a pilot at my program that does weekly testing before he comes on hitch. So only 2 tests a month, and the hospital is okay with that. 

Does Metro have any non-Hospital based contracts....

If every contract they have is Hospital based....Then.... You will get the jab....

Our program is not hospital based, we have not requested for the pilots to be vaccinated and Metro has not required them to get it

Metro does not require current employees to get the jab. If the hospital does, Metro's hands are tied. However, Metro will not take on new hires that have not been vaccinated, even if it's for a program/hospital that currently doesn't have a vax requirement. Not worth the money to train and indoc a new hire who could possibly quit down the road when the customer changes their mind and mandates a jab. 

Did you know that if you started your forum or take it to Facebook or Reddit for paranoid anti-vaxxers  you could cantact like minded individuals and not bother the rest of us with your obsession. Right to Work. You do not have to work for an employeer that requires a vaccine. The employer does not have to hire you if they don't want to.

All you guys saying get the jab, and anti-vaxers are stupid, just might be the biggest hypocrites.  How many times have you gone out to eat and taken down your mask while eating but walked in wearing a mask.  I guess you must superman or superwomen because Covid goes over your head, must be great to not only be that stupid, but think your level of hypocrisy won't come back to haunt you.

So when the info comes out and most of it has, mRNA can change you DNA and there are lots of side effect that have not been reported.  You realize you made a bad decision and you want everyone else to be forced into that bad decision as well.

EVERY CONTRACT THEY HAVE IS HOSPITAL PROGRAM....They only supply Pilots/Mech/Aircraft...period....so yes agree ONLY A MOMENT IN TIME BEFORE THEY HAVE TO GET IT AND THE HOSPITALS WANT THEM TO GET IT...

Not every contract Metro has is hosptial based. Acadian and Pafford are two that come to mind....

Metro doesn't require the vaccine.  It's all based on customers and what the hospitals are mandating.  Metro has been trying to accommodate all of its employees and respect their individual beliefs, to the point that Metro leadership has contacted hospital leadership on behalf of employees with that program to try and find workarounds, exemptions, etc... going so far as to find loopholes in the language of what may be the difference of an employee or contractor.  Definitely not Metro pushing this.  If the hospital mandates it, it's out of their hands.

And yes, most of their programs are hospital-based.  Their HR Department is spending tons of time trying to keep up with all the changing mandates among the customers, and they don't want to lose pilots over a vaccine.  Didn't covid disappear with the midterms, anyway?
