Well, Borger looks a bit isolated on Google maps, never been there in person. Where might a traveling pilot stay while on hitch with Apollo? Might do it for $105,000.00 (includes the $20,000.00, I'm guessing). Just wondering out loud..... |

Better stock up on "long handles", Borger is a cold place in the winter. |

Only thing stopping the cold north wind is a barbed wire fence. It can be miserably cold. |

It is a nasty refinery town. mostly borded up, the bar you have to enter in the bac, and serves only beer. has a big mexican resturant. nobody cleans their yards or paints their houses. last time i was there.. Just nasty. good luck! |

instead of Texas Cajuns- the shore base was Southwest Louisiana. In the course of my timethere, making small talk through the day, we'd talk about how they liked the Lake Charles/Houston area? It was okay. How often did they go back to the Panhandle? Blank looks. |

Never flew in Borger but flew out of Dalhart. Cold winter with snow and freezing fog. Not much out in that area. Most people live in Amarillo. Good luck with AMF. |

You've been warned, this place is an absolute dump. I'd recommend traveling there first to take a look before you commit to working/living there. |
