3 weeks on With call And a week off a good schedule ? I won't name companies Here. 7&7,14&14 is fair. 242 days working 24/7 or 182 days 24/7. Seems pretty obvious.

Think about working Mon-Fri. 5 on then off 2 for 3 weeks = 15 working & 6 off vs 21 working & 7 off. Almost 1/2 off doing 5 & 2 vs only 1/3 off doing 3wk on. No brainer NOT doing 21 on 7 off & being on call 21 straight!!

But hey do what you want, gotta do.

Absolutely not. You will look back someday and realize planned time off is more important than the money, esp if you have a family.

Being paid 15 a night to be on call is insane. But here I am. And no, that's not 15 an hour, that's 15 for the entire night.

i got skrewd by an ems company in ...working 26 on with call, and 4 off, and had to hire my own relief, or work it for damn near free. Needless to say they worked me alot of months with no time off. Never again. And to hell with "on call". Those two words right there warrants an automatic $95 k annual salary. It's just way too restrictive, like being teathered to work constantly. No work / life balance is a big red flag. And if they say in the interview they will "try" to give you days off as per discussed, run like the wind.
