Pay window for new hires is 67-73k.  You have to demand the higher pay.

old a defunct little weasel of a crashed up ex-military helicopter pilot herow would approach you with a number scratched on a scrap of paper and be indignant if you declined it.  Real piece of work.

Be firm but polite cuz you'll be stuck at future pay raises from that point on.

matter of time before a lot of this stuff starts to implode based on inflation.  Best to start looking at higher paying jobs that assure progressive pay raises in future, because, you're very definitely going to need it.

Supply chain realities will not ease, even delivery costs are going to sky rocket.

Your chance to stay ahead of the curves is right now.

Values are BS.

Started with them in 2003 at 51,500 (sucked even then) which comes to 77,000 today considering inflation.

Your union reps etc. have definitely NOT been doing their jobs.

That in no way says anything about unions not being worthwhile, but, they best be keeping everyone at least up to inflation.

Apologies if I'm incorrect.

CBA pay scale for new hires: $67,000 to 73,000. That's all you get. With your experience, ask for 73,000. If it's a remote base, there will be a stipend associated with it. But most VFR bases in Florida will not have a stipend or Accra. None are remote. Take a South East Region Relief pilot position, then transfer after a year to the base you want.

Everyone thanks Flying for the regionals is a great job it's actually low money crappy schedule. Everyone thinks you're going to get to the airlines and jump into a 737 right off the bat. You'll be flying five years a bullsh$$$t.  schedule for the regionals for less money than what you can make up McDonald's hourly

 a real flying job.

Being managed, tutored, observed, watched over, trained, checked, written up, about, in consideration of, sniped upon and controlled from every imaginable point of view and all others as they evolves is like being an inanimate robot under constant tinkering.

If that's your preference go for it and God speed, cuz ur gonna need it.  Not much of a life considering time spent at work is a very considerable period of one's life.  Not enjoying work, even marginally, is a waste of life, and that is so short on the back side of time you are going to regret being the 'strong' one who pushed through to the end, of your own life!

Lot of people learning that in light of this King of Virus mess courtesy of the king of tinkers.
